What are your guiding principles? We, people in general, harbor pain from unresolved issues in our past
and carry them with us through life. When we don't face that pain, or
heal from it, we grow to be unhealthy individuals. 2. How we behave is tied to how we feel. How we feel is tied to what we perceive our reality to be. 3. We have choices that we can make in order to make our lives better as we strive to find peace and happiness. 4. We need to allow God's guidance in our lives for true healing. 5.
No one can do this for us. It has be us who are willing to ask for
help, be active in our recovery, & do the work necessary for a
successful journey. 6. We cannot heal by ourselves. We need others to do so. 7.
What is avoided in our lives is often what needs to be addressed. The
issues & emotions we ignore are often what need to be tended to. 8.
Healing emotionally is not about becoming a perfect human being. It is
about letting go of the pain that holds us back in life and prevents us
from becoming a healthier, happier person. 9. The
more emotionally healthier we are the better person we can become. As
we become emotionally healthier individuals, we can become healthier
people for ourselves and others. (A better mom, friend, teacher,
employee, husband, father, etc.) 10. We find peace and
healing when we experience understanding. At times, healing is found by
being understood, while sometimes it comes when we understand someone
else. We find understanding when we communicate; when we share
information and experiences.
